At Nardirri Beach on a good hunting day, we would hunt along the river and behind the bush on higher ground at a big salt plain. We had no fishing lines, only spears. After a good hunting day everyone would dance and be happy. We would sing with the didgeridoo and clapstacks The women would get the kids dancing. After, we burn to hunt for long neck turtles, goanna, and lizards. Other families would come, some were chased away and made to swim back over the river or float with a log. We don’t eat kangaroo it’s my family totem, we could only eat wallaby.' Acrylic paint on unstretched canvas (frame is not included).
